Thursday, October 24th, 2002
8 AM - 11 PM: Shuttle bus sevice between the hotel, the inner harbor, and the B&O Museum. Coffee and tea available at hotel through 10 AM.
8:00 AM: Registration, vendor displays, and company store open at hotel.
8:30 AM: Car owners meeting at hotel.
9:45 AM: Ask Amtrak & Via Rail Canada panel at hotel.
11:00 AM: Combined meeting of Charter, Public Relations, and Web Committees at hotel.
12:00 NOON: Members and guests luncheon at hotel. Speaker is Chris Polychrones (President, Virginia Professional Florists Association; member of American Institute of Floral Designers). Topic is floral arranging. [Ticket required]
12:00 NOON - 5:00 PM: Tour of Amtrak's Wilmington shop. Transportation via Amtrak. [Ticket required]
4:00 PM: Registration, vendor displays, and company store close.
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM: First car party at B&O Museum. Cars on tracks, 6, 8, and 10 are open.
Friday, October 25th, 2002
8 AM - 11 PM: Shuttle bus sevice between the hotel, the inner harbor, and the B&O Museum. Coffee and tea available at hotel through 10 AM.
8:00 AM: Registration and vendor displays open at hotel.
9:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Clearances Seminar by Kevin Casey (Amtrak Engineering Department) at the hotel. Seminar group then goes to the Museum for hands-on measuring session with a car.
12:00 NOON: Luncheon honoring current and former Presidents, Officers, and Directors at hotel. Master of Ceremonies - DeWitt Chapple, Jr. [By invitation only; not open to members and guests.]
1:00 PM: Associate members meeting at hotel.
2:00 PM: Annual membership meeting at hotel. Guest speakers include:
Ed Hamberger, President & CEO, Association of American Railroads;
Joe McHugh, Vice President, Government Affairs, Amtrak (will provide a briefing on the status of legislation).4:00 PM: Registration, vendor displays, and company store close.
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Second car party at B&O Museum. Cars on tracks 3, 4, and 5 are open.

9:00 AM: Board of Directors meeting at hotel.
9:00 AM - 12:00 NOON: Open house (for members of the B&O Museum only) onboard cars at the B&O Museum.
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Vendor displays and company store at hotel.
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Seminar on Insurance for Private Cars by Frank Graetz (The Daniel & Henry Company) at the hotel.
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: "What is the worst that could happen? A lighthearted but serious look at what is expected of food service on a PV." A seminar on private car dining (table settings, etc) by Jim Porterfield (author of "Dining by Rail: The History and Recipes of America's Golden Age of Railroad Cuisine") at the hotel.
11:00 AM - 12:00 NOON: Seminar on Marketing by Patrick Henry (President & CEO of Patrick Henry Creative Promotions, Inc) at the hotel.
Lunch: On your own.
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: A series of Mechanical Seminars covering UMLER, hand brakes, etc. with Paul DeVerter, Bart Barton and various Amtrak officials (Dick Bruss, Greg Gagarin, and Harold Weisinger).
4:00 PM: Seminars conclude. Vendor displays close.
6:00 - 11:00 PM: 25th Anniversary President's Reception & Gala at the B&O Museum Roundhouse. [Black Tie optional]
6:00 PM: President's reception.
7:00 PM: Dinner.
8:00 PM: Welcoming remarks; recognition of past Directors & Officers.
8:30 PM: Dancing to the music of the Zim Zemarel orchestra.
10:00 PM: Balloon drop.
11:00 PM: 25th Anniversary President's Reception & Gala concludes.
12:00 PM (Midnight): Begin switching of special train consists at B&O Museum. All persons intending to depart on the AAPRCO Silver Anniversary Baltimore Limited (Western Section) must be onboard by this time.
