The route and schedule plans are subject to change.

There will be two special trains to/from the convention. The route of these special trains will emphasize B&O mileage, where possible, and will cover some non-Amtrak mileage. These two special trains will be the only way to get your car to/from the B&O Museum convention site in Baltimore. We are currently finalizing the details of their schedules. The B&O Museum is able to accomodate a maximum of 28 cars for the convention.


AAPRCO Silver Anniversary Baltimore Limited (Western Section)

The western train will operate from Chicago to the B&O Museum convention site in Baltimore and return to Chicago.

The train will depart Chicago at 6:00 AM on Tuesday October 22nd and operate via CSX (B&O) and W&LE to Rook Yard in Pittsburgh where it will overnight. Rook Yard is approximately 10 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. At 6:45 AM on Wednesday October 23rd, the train will depart Rook Yard and operate via W&LE and CSX, over the Alleghany Mountains at Sand Patch to Point of Rocks, and then on the CSX (B&O) Old Main Line to Baltimore, arriving at the B&O Museum at 5:45 PM.

After the convention, the train will depart the B&O Museum at 4:00 AM on Sunday October 27th and proceed to Clearfield, Pennsylvania via the Port Road (Perryville to Harrisburg) and the Buffalo Line (Harrisburg to Keating). Overnight in Clearfield. On Monday October 28th, the train will operate from Clearfield to Cresson and on to Pittsburgh, where it will be serviced. The train will depart Pittsburgh on the route of Amtrak's Three Rivers and arrive in Chicago at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28th.


AAPRCO Silver Anniversary Baltimore Limited (Eastern Section)

The eastern train will operate from Philadelphia to the B&O Museum convention site in Baltimore and return to Philadelphia.

The train will depart Philadelphia at 7:00 AM on Saturday October 19th and travel to Clearfield via Harrisburg and Keating. Overnight in Clearfield. On Sunday October 20th, this train will depart Clearfield at 9 AM to cover rare mileage on R J Corman Lines in the Clearfield area; return to Clearfield at 4 PM. Overnight in Clearfield. On Monday October 21st, the train will depart Clearfield and proceed to Pittsburgh via Cresson (possibly via the Conemaugh line). Overnight in Pittsburgh at the Amtrak station. On Tuesday October 22nd, the train will depart Pittsburgh and proceed, via Sand Patch, Point of Rocks and the Old Main Line, to Baltimore, arriving at the B&O Museum at 4:30 PM that afternoon.

After the convention, the train will depart Baltimore at 8:00 AM on Sunday October 27th and travel to Philadelphia via the route of B&O's Royal Blue, arriving at 12:00 noon.
