AAPRCO 2010 Convention
Pueblo, Colorado
September 20-22, 2010

APPRCO's thirty-third annual convention will be held at Pueblo, Colorado on September 20-22, 2010.

We are planning a special train, The San Juan Limited, from Albuquerque, New Mexico to the convention and return, operating on BNSF and the San Luis & Rio Grande. The special train will depart Albuquerque on September 17th, spend two nights parked at Alamosa and arrive at Pueblo on September 19th. On the second (September 21st) of three days of convention activities at Pueblo, some of the cars in the special train will travel to the Association of American Railroads' Transportation Technology Center Inc. (TTCI) for some "rare mileage" on the TTCI's trackage, and then return to Pueblo. The special train will depart Pueblo on September 23rd, spend the night of September 23rd parked in Amarillo, Texas and return to Albuquerque on September 24th. Here is a detailed schedule of the special train, and here is a detailed schedule of convention events at Pueblo.

Our Travel Opportunities page lists advertisments from those individual private car owners who are offering accommodations on their car(s) for their trip to the convention. Note that four "day trips" onboard a former Santa Fe "Big Dome" operating in the consist of the convention special train are available; see this document for additional information, fares and reservations.

The convention is open only to members of AAPRCO, their family and their personal guests. If you would like to join AAPRCO, please go to this page.

The AAPRCO Company Store has some emblematic items for sale; please see this page for the merchandise.

Please note there will be no opportunities for the general public to tour the cars while they are parked at Alamosa, Pueblo, or Amarillo during the convention and the operation of The San Juan Limited.

The information here is current as of September 7, 2010. Although this is expected to be the final schedule, we will update this site if more information becomes available.
