Amtrak Names William Flynn as new CEO

Amtrak has announced that William Flynn will be assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer starting 15 April 2020. Flynn replaced Richard Anderson who completes his three commitment to Amtrak and will remain with Amtrak until the end of the year as a senior advisor to Mr. Flynn.

AAPRCO looks forward to working with Mr. Flynn and continuing our 43 year effort to help Amtrak reach its goal of making a profit, through the operations of private cars and charter trains.

Mr. Flynn’s industry background includes 13 years as CEO of Atlas Air Worldwide (an air freight company that also carried military cargo and passengers), Senior Vice President of the Merchandise Service Group at CSX Transportation, and was the Head of Asia Operations at Sea-Land.
