The “AAPRCO San Juan Limited” operated Albuquerque NM – Walsenburg CO – Alamosa CO – Walsenburg CO – Pueblo CO – Amarillo TX – Albuquerque NM.

While the “AAPRCO San Juan Limited” was parked at Pueblo CO for the convention, Caritas, Cimarron River, Hollywood Beach, J. Pinckney Henderson, and Scenic Viewoperated an excursion trip around one of the high speed loop tracks at the Transportation Technology Center Inc. (TTCI), Pueblo, Colorado.

The “AAPRCO James L. Larson Florida Special” operated from Washington DC to City Point FL, then returned to Washington DC by way of Savannah GA.

The “AAPRCO San Diegan” carried all cars from Los Angeles to San Diego and return to San Pedro. Motive power was ATSF 3751 (Northern class 4-8-4) and three Amtrak P42 locomotives.

2007, Omaha, Nebraska (30th annual convention)

The “AAPRCO City of Omaha” carried all cars from Chicago to Omaha and return. Union Pacific provided their power car 207, City of San Francisco, Overland, City of Los Angeles, and St. Louis for the car party on Friday night.

2006, Steamtown National Historic Site, Scranton, Pennsylvania
19 cars:
Birch Grove, Chapel Hill, Chico, Diablo Canyon, Dover Harbor, Federal, Hickory Creek, Hollywood Beach, J. Pinckney Henderson, Metis, Mount Vernon, Northern Dreams, Northern Sky, Oliver Hazard Perry, Pacific Sands, Pacific Union, Scottish Thistle, Vista Canyon, and Vista Dome.

The “AAPRCO Green Mountain Pocono Express” operated Chicago IL – Albany-Rensselaer NY – Cantic QC (Canada) – St. Albans VT – Albany-Rensselaer NY – Scranton PA – Albany-Rensselaer NY – Chicago IL.

Dover Harbor, Hickory Creek, J. Pinckney Henderson, and Mount Vernon arrived at Albany-Rensselaer on regularly scheduled Amtrak trains and were added to the “AAPRCO Green Mountain Pocono Express” at that location. On the way home from the convention, these 4 cars were setout at Albany-Rensselaer and travelled on regularly scheduled Amtrak trains to New York NY and on to Washington DC.

2005, Williams, Arizona

The “AAPRCO Arizona Limited” operated Chicago IL – Albuquerque NM – Santa Fe NM – Williams AZ – Grand Canyon AZ – Phoenix AZ – Chicago IL.

City of Spokane, Pacific Sands, Pony Express, Scottish Thistle, and Silver Iris arrived at Albuquerque on Amtrak’s Southwest Chief and were added to the “AAPRCO Arizona Limited” at that location.

2004, Missoula, Montana

The eastern section of the “AAPRCO Northern Parks Limited” operated Chicago IL – Denver CO – Livingston MT – Missoula MT – Sandpoint ID – Chicago IL. Colorado Pine and Scottish Thistle were added to the consist at Denver.

The western section of the “AAPRCO Northern Parks Limited” operated Spokane WA – Livingston MT – Missoula MT – Sandpoint ID – Spokane WA. The consist was Burrad, Jane Marie, Pony Express, Silver Solarium, Virginia City, Vista Canyon, and Yosemite Falls.

2003, New Orleans, Louisiana
29 cars:
Bella Vista, Birch Grove, Burrard, Cannon Ball, Chapel Hill, Colorado Pine, Colorado River, Georgia 300, Greenwich Harbor, Henry Hudson, Henry E. Huntington, Hollywood Beach, Jane Marie, Metis, Northern Dreams, Northern Sky, Oliver Hazard Perry, Pacific Union, Palm Beach, Puget Sound, Royal Street, Scottish Thistle, Sierra Hotel, Silver Iris, Silver Quail, The Survivor, Virginia City, Vista Canyon, and Vista Dome.

Nineteen cars arrived in New Orleans from Chicago on the “AAPRCO 2003 Southern Belle”: Birch Grove, Burrard, Chapel Hill, Colorado Pine, Colorado River, Henry Hudson, Hollywood Beach, Metis, Northern Dreams, Northern Sky, Oliver H. Perry, Pacific Union, Palm Beach, Puget Sound, Royal Street, Scottish Thistle, Sierra Hotel, Silver Quail, and Vista Dome.

These ten cars arrived on Amtrak: Cannon Ball, Greenwich Harbor, and The Survivor on the “Crescent;” Bella Vista, Georgia 300, Henry E. Huntington, Jane Marie, Silver Iris, Virginia City, and Vista Canyon on the “Sunset Limited.”

The New Orleans-Chicago “AAPRCO Panama Limited” was essentially the same as the “Southern Belle” with these exceptions: Burrard arrived on the “Belle;” it started for home on the “Sunset.” Silver Iris and Virginia City arrived on the “Sunset;” they started for home on the “Limited.”

Pinckney Henderson, The Survivor, Henry Huntington, Mohave, Golden Sand, Warrior Ridge, Pennsylvania 120 (12 cars Philadelphia-Clearfield, 10 cars Clearfield-Pittsburgh, 8 cars Pittsburgh-Baltimore, and 8 cars Baltimore-Philadelphia following the convention).

NOTES:
AAPRCO Silver Anniversary Baltimore Limited, eastern section cars in the eastern train consist were Missouri-Kansas-Texas 403, Palmetto State, Mount Vernon, J. Pinckney Henderson, The Survivor, and Henry Huntington (6 cars). Power: Amtrak 25 (requested for the 25th Anniversary Convention train), and 137.
Caritas and Cimarron River traveled Philadelphia-Pittsburgh October 19­-21 with the eastern train.
Mohave, Golden Sand, Warrior Ridge, and Pennsylvania 120 operated Philadelphia-Clearfield as the Susquehannock. Mohave and Golden Sand remained at Clearfield, PA, October 21­-27. Both were added to the westbound AAPRCO Silver Anniversary Baltimore Limited, western section between Clearfield and Chicago on October 28.
Power for the eastern train: former Pennsylvania Railroad E-8A units 5711 and 5809.
A third Amtrak unit, 152, added to the western train, Pittsburgh-Chicago, October 28.
Warrior Ridge and Pennsylvania 120 were parked inside the fence at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum to protect them from the possibility of vandalism, but were not a part of the convention at the Museum.
Three former Museum-owned MARC cars, 1 and 130 on the end of Track 8, and 102 at the head of Track 4 were not a part of the convention.

Missouri-Kansas-Texas 403 , not a part of the Limited, added as Milwaukee Road 261 crew car between Minneapolis and Duluth.

Two cars, Pointe St. Charles and Colonial Crafts , traveling all the way across Canada (Vancouver-Halifax), stopped in Winnipeg for the convention.  The pair arrived from the west on the rear of the Canadian the afternoon of 8/31 and continued east on 9/2.  While in Winnipeg, both cars parked at the VIA Maintenance Center.
Total of 23 cars in Winnipeg for the convention: 21 at Winnipeg Union Station, two at the VIA Maintenance Center.
VIA F40s 6413 and 6425 all the way.  Wisconsin Central GP40 3014 and SD45 6624 added at Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, on the afternoon of 9/5.  3014 removed from train 9/6 at Schiller Park Yard; 6624 continued on into Chicago.

Arriving and departing Tampa on Amtrak: Francis L. Suter, Cannon Ball, Intrepid, Henry E. Huntington, Pointe St. Charles, Coco Grove.

1998, Albuquerque, New Mexico
25 AAPRCO-member-owned cars, plus 1 Amtrak car.

Silver Solarium, Palm Beach, Hollywood Beach, Vista Canyon, Northern Sky, Caritas, Chapel Hill (7 cars).
These seven cars operated Chicago-Albuquerque as a part of 28 total car train #3, then Albuquerque-Grand Canyon-Santa Fe-Albuquerque as a 7-car all-private car special.  Cars returned east Albuquerque-Kansas City as part of eastbound train #4, then Kansas City-Iowa-Chicago as 7-car all-private car special.

City of Spokane, Cimarron River, Columbia River, Pacific Sunset (Wab. 800698), Pine Bluff, Jane Marie, Pacific Grove, Glacier Park, Scottish Thistle, Casper Mountain, Intrepid, Burrard, Virginia City, Silver Iris, Silver Lariat, baggage-dormitory 3105 (ex-SP Sunset Limited), Palm Leaf, AMT 2230 (leased to CSX, named Miami Beach), Pointe St. Charles. (19 cars).
This western AAPRCO train operated on all segments as a 19-car all-private car train.
