Description:
Built in 1950 by the Budd Company as 10 roomette 6 double bedroom sleeper PACIFIC UNION for Union Pacific. Amtrak (2639 then renumbered to 2890 after HEP conversion and upgrade) from 1971 thru retirement in 1995. Sold to private owners. Purchased by Webb Rail, LLC in 2018. Comfortable accommodations for 22 passengers for both daytime and overnight travel. 10 roomettes with single bed; 6 double bedrooms with upper and lower beds. Each room has its own toilet facilities. The car enhances the original 1950 design with modern conveniences to create a comfortable travel experience. Diesel generator provides power when not connected to a train or ground power. Based out of Albany-Rensselaer, New York.
