Built June of 1949 by the Budd Company. The car was one of a group of four identical cars built for the New York Central Railroad for use on the New England States, the NYC’s premier trains between Boston and Chicago. The car changed hands a number of times until Webb Rail, LLC purchased it in 2012. After substantial mechanical and cosmetic upgrades, the Babbling Brook is again ready for service on Amtrak.
