Pullman-built in 1954 for the Canadian National’s “Super Continental” as a sleeping car and named Mount Resplendent. Rebuilt in 1982 with 3 bedrooms, buffet and lounge. Name shortened to Resplendent. Transferred to VIA Rail Canada in 1978. Rebuilt 1993-95 by its first private owner. Acquired by current owner in 1997. Refurbished in 2000 and renamed Oliver Hazard Perry.
