The car enhances the original 1950 design with modern conveniences to create a comfortable travel experience. Diesel generator provides power when not connected to a train or ground power. Built in 1950 by the Budd Company as 10 roomette 6 double bedroom sleeper PACIFIC UNION for Union Pacific. Amtrak (2639 then renumbered to 2890 after HEP conversion and upgrade) from 1971 thru retirement in 1995. Sold to private owners. Purchased by Webb Rail, LLC in 2018.
