Dome Sleeper/Diner-Lounge


The car has two large drawing rooms, each with sleeping space for two (or two adults and one child). Two Pullman style bedrooms with upper and lower berths each offer sleeping accommodations for two people. All rooms feature private enclosed toilet/shower and TV/DVD/CD players. The vista-dome/lounge, with two large and two small tables, and four swivel captain’s chairs, has viewing and dining space for up to 16. Push-Pull equipped. On-board auxiliary diesel generator.


Built in 1955, for the Great Northern Railway by The Budd Company, the Puget Sound traveled the Empire Builder route between Chicago, Seattle & Portland. It was acquired by the current owners in the 1990’s and was completely refurbished in 2001.
